Scapa 16 Year Old Oracadian Island single malt Scotch whisky.
Scapa Distillery was established by John Townsend in 1885 close by the shore of Scapa Bay in Scapa Flow near Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands. Scapa Distillery one of only a very few Scottish distilleries to have retained some Corten steel washbacks and is equipped with just two stills including a novel wash still which incorporates the shell of an old Lomond still. In contrast to the other Kirkwall distillery Scapa Distillery produces only unpeated single malt whisky.
Nose: Sweet and velvety on the nose with flavours of sweet Clementine and heath honey.
Taste: Perfectly balanced and rich with a tang of giner and sweet baked apples.
Finish: Rich long very slightly dry with merest hint of the sea.
