HOW SCOTCH WHISKY IS MADE

Scotch whisky is a celebrated distilled alcoholic beverage, crafted exclusively in Scotland. Its origins trace back to 1494, with the earliest recorded whisky-making at Lindores Abbey in the Kingdom of Fife. Today, Scotland is home to over 100 distilleries, and the number continues to grow as new ventures emerge, preserving and innovating this rich tradition.

Scotch whisky begins as a blend of water, grain, and yeast, which is fermented to create a weak beer. This liquid is then distilled in copper stills before being aged in oak casks, where time and interaction with wood impart the unique flavors and color that define Scotch whisky.
