TWB Tasting Notes:
On the nose, expect bright aromas of fresh green apples, pears, and citrus, complemented by creamy vanilla, honey, and soft malted barley. Hints of toasted oak and sweet spices from the 1st fill bourbon barrels also make an appearance, adding depth to the fragrance.
The palate is bold and lively, with rich flavors of toffee, caramel, and vanilla custard leading the way. Fresh orchard fruits, like apples and pears, provide a crisp contrast to the creamy sweetness. A touch of peppery spice and toasted oak emerges, adding complexity and balance to the sweetness from the bourbon barrels.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering notes of vanilla, honey, and a gentle maltiness. The higher proof adds a nice kick, leaving a lasting impression of fresh fruit and soft oak. This whisky strikes a great balance between youthful vibrancy and the rich influence of bourbon cask maturation.
