Port Charlotte Distillery

Bruichladdich Distillery, founded in 1881 by the Harvey family, is situated on the scenic Rhinns peninsula of Islay, near the sandy shores of Loch Indaal. Reopened in 2001, the distillery restored much of its original Victorian equipment to working order. Bruichladdich is celebrated for its innovative and diverse whiskies, including the highly acclaimed PC5, the first release in the Port Charlotte range, the heavily peated Octomore, and Organic single maltsmade from Islay-grown barley. The distillery also produces triple- and quadruple-distilled expressions and exclusive single cask releases, participating annually in Feis Ile, the Islay Whisky Festival.
