TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: On the nose, this whisky greets you with a delightful combination of coastal sea salt, sweet vanilla, and tropical fruits like pineapple and mango. These bright aromas are complemented by subtle notes of honey, toasted oak, and a faint trace of earthy peat smoke, creating an inviting and complex fragrance.
Taste: The palate is rich, creamy, and layered. Sweet vanilla and honey flavors are immediately present, followed by bursts of citrus and ripe tropical fruits. The influence of the refill bourbon hogshead brings a smooth, rounded texture, allowing hints of soft oak, gentle spices, and the distinctive maritime character of Springbank to shine through. As you sip, light peat smoke weaves through the flavors, adding complexity without overpowering the overall balance.
Finish: The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of soft peat smoke, vanilla, and a gentle touch of sea salt, leaving a refreshing, briny quality. A final hint of oak and fruit lingers, creating a beautifully rounded and sophisticated end to this exceptional whisky.
