TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: The aroma is vibrant and complex, offering a delightful mix of sweetness and coastal elements. Freshly cut barley and malted grains are immediately noticeable. There are prominent notes of green apples, pears, and citrus peel. Spices such as vanilla, cinnamon, and a hint of black pepper are present. Subtle hints of peat smoke, sea spray, and heather add depth.
Palate: The palate is rich and full-bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel. The initial sweetness of honey and caramel quickly gives way to fresh orchard fruits, particularly green apples and pears. The spices are well-balanced, with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of clove enhancing the experience. Light peat smoke, sea salt, and a mineral undertone add complexity. Additional notes of dark chocolate, roasted almonds, and a hint of oak are also present.
Finish: The finish is long and warming. The aftertaste is sweet with a touch of smoke, leaving lingering notes of malt, dried fruits, and gentle spices. The high ABV provides a warming sensation, enhancing the overall experience.
