TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: An immediate wave of ripe tropical fruit greets you—think succulent mango, creamy papaya, and char-grilled pineapple—drizzled with a delicate honeyed sweetness. Behind these juicy top notes lie layers of polished antique wood, candied ginger, and orange blossom. A subtle vein of aged leather, pipe tobacco, and faint aromatic spices reveals the whisky’s venerable age and depth.
Palate: Luxuriously silky, the mouthfeel carries a sumptuous blend of exotic fruit nectar—passionfruit pulp, guava jam, and sweet lychee—intertwined with velvety honeycomb and vanilla bean custard. As the fruitiness settles, gentle waves of aged oak and warm baking spices (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg) emerge, grounding the tropical sweetness and offering a sophisticated, layered complexity. Over time, hints of dark chocolate truffle, hazelnut praline, and a delicate herbal whisper balance the palate’s indulgent richness.
Finish: Long, lingering, and exquisitely balanced. The bright fruit notes slowly fade into a gentle glow of sweet resinous oak, drying orchard fruits, and cocoa nibs. A soft, savory warmth—the faint memory of pipe smoke and toasted pecans—provides a contemplative close, allowing the senses to bask in the legacy of decades-long maturation.
