TWB Tasting Notes:
On the nose, Lindores Abbey THIRON 1st Release offers an inviting aroma of warm toasted oak and sweet vanilla, complemented by notes of ripe orchard fruits like apples and pears. Subtle hints of caramel, honey, and soft spices—such as cinnamon and nutmeg—emerge, adding depth and complexity.
The palate is rich and full-bodied, with the French Virgin Oak casks imparting robust flavors of oak and spice. Layers of creamy vanilla, caramelized sugar, and butterscotch are balanced by a fresh burst of green apples and dried apricots. The oak influence introduces a touch of pepper and clove, giving the whisky a lively and well-rounded character.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering notes of sweet oak, vanilla, and a gentle spiced warmth. A hint of herbal freshness and soft fruit sweetness lingers, leaving a beautifully balanced and elegant aftertaste
