TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: Warm and inviting aromas of rich dried fruits such as raisins, figs, and dates dominate the nose. These are complemented by notes of dark chocolate, honey, and a hint of cinnamon spice. Subtle undertones of toasted almonds and a gentle floral essence characteristic of Glenlossie add complexity.
Palate: A smooth and full-bodied mouthfeel introduces flavors of sweet sherry richness, showcasing notes of caramelized sugar, toffee, and molasses. The Oloroso cask imparts deep flavors of ripe plums and black cherries, intertwined with hints of nutmeg, clove, and a touch of espresso. The distillery's signature malty sweetness balances the robust sherry influence.
Finish: The finish is long and warming, with lingering notes of sweet dried fruits and gentle oak tannins. Spicy elements like black pepper and a whisper of ginger emerge, fading slowly to leave a pleasant aftertaste of cocoa and sherry sweetness.
