TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: The nose is rich and opulent, brimming with aromas of dark fruits such as raisins, figs, and dates, enhanced by notes of rich toffee, dark chocolate, and spiced oak. The Oloroso sherry cask influence is pronounced, offering layers of dried fruits, molasses, and a subtle hint of espresso.
Palate: On the palate, this whisky delivers a full-bodied and robust experience. Flavors of sherry-soaked fruitcake, dark caramel, and roasted nuts are beautifully balanced by the warming spices of cinnamon and clove. The intensity of the cask strength bottling adds depth and concentration to the flavors, while the natural sweetness from the sherry cask lingers harmoniously on the tongue.
Finish: The finish is long, warm, and luxurious, with the rich sherry notes slowly fading into a pleasant oaky dryness, accompanied by a touch of spice and a lingering sweetness. The complexity of the finish reflects the whisky’s age and the quality of the cask.
