Hunter Laing Tasting Notes:
This golden whisky has a rich nose of fudge and winter spices. The palate is light and fresh, with notes of green ferns and fresh hay. On the finish, the whisky leaves a lasting impression of lingering heat and a hint of spice.
TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: A captivating aroma unfolds with layers of rich honey, heather blossom, and aged oak. Subtle notes of dried apricots, sultanas, and a hint of vanilla pod intertwine with delicate wafts of earthy peat smoke—a nod to Glen Garioch's traditional Highland style.
Palate: The palate is luxuriously smooth and complex. Waves of caramelized orchard fruits—think baked apples and pear compote—meld with creamy toffee and toasted almonds. Gentle spices of cinnamon and nutmeg emerge, complemented by a touch of dark chocolate and a whisper of citrus zest.
Finish: Exceptionally long and satisfying. Lingering notes of sweet malt, soft oak tannins, and a warm, spicy glow leave a lasting impression. The subtle peat smoke resurfaces, fading elegantly to invite another sip.
