TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: Rich and complex, with deep aromas of molasses, dark chocolate, and aged oak. Notes of dried fruits such as prunes, raisins, and figs are prominent, layered with hints of vanilla, leather, and warm spices. The ex-rum cask aging adds subtle undertones of tropical fruits and a touch of smokiness.
Palate: Full-bodied and well-rounded, offering a sophisticated blend of flavors including caramel, toffee, and vanilla. These are beautifully interwoven with dried apricot, roasted coffee beans, and a gentle spiciness. The influence of the ex-rum cask imparts additional depth, bringing forward nuances of brown sugar, tropical fruit, and mature oak.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of spiced oak, dark chocolate, and a delicate hint of tobacco and leather. The finish is enhanced by a refined, persistent warmth and a soft smokiness, showcasing the depth and intricacy developed over nearly three decades.
