TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: Deep and complex, with rich aromas of molasses, dark chocolate, and aged oak. Notes of dried fruits such as prunes, raisins, and figs are prominent, complemented by hints of vanilla, leather, and warm spices. The ex-rum cask aging adds subtle layers of tropical fruit and a hint of smokiness.
Palate: Full-bodied and robust, featuring a sophisticated blend of flavors including caramel, toffee, and dark chocolate. These are interwoven with notes of dried apricot, roasted coffee beans, and a gentle spiciness. The influence of the ex-rum cask imparts additional complexity with nuances of brown sugar and tropical fruit.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of spiced oak, dark chocolate, and a delicate hint of tobacco and leather. The finish is enhanced by a subtle smokiness and a refined, persistent warmth that showcases the depth achieved through nearly three decades of aging.
