TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: The nose opens with inviting aromas of dried fruits—particularly raisins and figs—alongside rich chocolate and a soft sherry sweetness. Subtle hints of dark toffee, spiced oak, and a delicate touch of leather provide additional depth.
Taste: On the palate, this whisky delivers a luxurious and rich experience. Dark chocolate and stewed fruits dominate, balanced by a velvety maltiness. The sherry influence brings forward bold flavors of dried figs, sultanas, and a wave of warming spices, including cinnamon, nutmeg, and a dash of clove. There’s also a hint of roasted coffee beans and caramelized nuts, adding complexity.
Finish: The finish is long, warming, and indulgent, with lingering notes of sherry-soaked fruits, dark chocolate, and a gentle spice that fades slowly. A soft oakiness remains, adding to the balance and refinement of this mature whisky.
