Nose: Bold and intense, with rich aromas of molasses, dark chocolate, and charred oak. Notes of dried fruits such as prunes and raisins are layered with hints of vanilla, leather, and warm spices. The high ABV accentuates subtle undertones of burnt sugar and a touch of smokiness.
Palate: Full-bodied and robust, offering a powerful blend of flavors including caramel, toffee, and dark chocolate. These are interwoven with dried apricot, roasted nuts, and a pronounced spiciness. The influence of the high alcohol content brings forward additional complexity, with nuances of brown sugar, tropical fruit, and mature oak.
Finish: Exceptionally long and warming, with lingering notes of spiced oak, dark chocolate, and a delicate hint of tobacco and leather. The finish is enhanced by a refined, persistent warmth and a soft smokiness, showcasing the depth and intensity developed over 23 years.
