There are hints of charred oak, tobacco, and leather, complemented by subtle undertones of dried fruits such as figs, raisins, and prunes. Aromatic spices including cloves, nutmeg, and a hint of black pepper are present, along with slight medicinal hints and smoky, rubbery nuances typical of Caroni's heavy rums.

Palate: The palate is full-bodied and powerful, with a rich and oily texture. Primary flavors include strong notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and treacle. Secondary flavors feature layers of oak, with vanilla, caramel, and a pronounced smokiness. Dark fruits such as blackcurrants, dates, and a touch of overripe banana add to the complexity. Bold spice notes of cinnamon, allspice, and a touch of chili heat are also evident.

Finish: The finish is exceptionally long and warming, with lingering echoes of smoky oak, dark chocolate, and a persistent note of black licorice and burnt caramel. The aftertaste is complex and evolving, with a slight bitterness that balances the sweetness and smokiness.
