TWB Tasting Notes:
On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of dried fruits such as figs, raisins, and dates, alongside rich notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and a touch of sweet toffee. Hints of leather, walnuts, and cinnamon spice add complexity, while subtle maritime notes evoke Bunnahabhain's coastal origins.
On the palate, it’s full-bodied and bold, with flavors of rich fruitcake, dark berries, and spiced plums. These fruity notes are perfectly balanced by layers of Oloroso sherry richness, including hints of dark chocolate, caramelized nuts, and a touch of orange peel. The mouthfeel is velvety and smooth, with a gentle spice from cinnamon and cloves that lingers alongside the sweet, syrupy sherry character.
The finish is long, warm, and satisfying, with lingering flavors of dried fruits, sherry-soaked oak, and a delicate touch of sea salt. The combination of Bunnahabhain’s gentle coastal character with the deep, complex sherry influence makes this whisky a beautifully balanced and refined expression
