Sherriffs is viewed as the old style of Bowmore, which is rather more fruit distillate produced by later owners of the distillery. The whisky is soft mahogany in colour and very full bodies. Rich raisins, orange marmalade, and apricots are very evident on the nose and palate. The finish is very long and warming, with fruits and maritime notes, a little smoke at the back with hints of iodine and tobacco.
