St. Magdalene Distillery
St. Magdalene Distillery, established by Adam Dawson in 1824 at Linlithgow, was ideally located between the Union Canal and the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway, providing excellent access to growing markets. This Lowland malt whisky distillery operated with four stills, producing whisky primarily for blends throughout its history. After closing in 1983, the site was converted into private housing, marking St. Magdalene as a lost distillery. Rare single cask bottlings, such as Carn Mor’s 1982 vintage, are highly sought after, preserving the legacy of this historic distillery for modern collectors and enthusiasts.
