Deanston Distillery, founded in 1965 near Doune, transformed a historic 1785 weaving mill into a thriving Highland malt whisky operation, with distillation commencing the following year. Outfitted with an open-topped cast iron mash tun and four gleaming copper stills, Deanston produces beloved expressions such as the Deanston 12 Year Old and Deanston Virgin Oak.
