Cardhu Distillery
Cardhu Distillery traces its roots to 1811, when John and Helen Cumming began producing malt whisky on their Cardhu Farm using a single illicit still. Officially founded in 1824, the original distillery featured two small stills, producing modest quantities until a larger, purpose-built facility with four stills was constructed just up the road. Today, Cardhu stands as a notable Speyside malt whisky distillery and a key contributor to Diageo’s Johnnie Walker blended Scotch range. Showcasing its commitment to tradition and quality, Cardhu offers several popular single malts, including the 12 Year Old, 15 Year Old, and Amber Rock, each reflecting the distinct character and heritage of this historic Scottish distillery.
