Ailsa Bay Distillery

Ailsa Bay Distillery resides within the Girvan Distillery complex on the Ayrshire coast, just north of the town of Girvan. Although officially classified as a Lowland distillery, Ailsa Bay produces a range of malt whiskies spanning from light and sweet to highly peated—primarily to support William Grant & Sons’ blended whiskies, but also for release under the Ailsa Bay single malt label. Having opened its doors in 2007 and now equipped with 16 stills, Ailsa Bay ranks among the three largest malt whisky distilleries in Scotland, reflecting its significant role in both the blended and single malt Scotch markets.
